AFCON: Uzoho Gets Peseiro’s Nod To Start In Goal Against Equatorial Guinea

Nigerian goalkeeper, Francis Uzoho is likely to start in goal for the Super Eagles against Equatorial Guinea in their AFCON opener.

The much maligned Omonia Nicosia shot-stopper is competing with Stanley Nwabili and Olorunleke Ojo for the number one spot.

According sources from the super eagles camp, Uzoho has performed better than his rivals in training and is now set start in goal AFCON 2023.

The 25-year-old is highly favoured to be between the sticks against the Nzalang Nacional at the Alassanne Quattara Stadium, Ebimpe Abidjan on Sunday.

Nwabili will be the second choice, while Ojo will be the third goalkeeper.

The crunch encounter against Equatorial Guinea will kick off at 2pm Nigeria time.
