Being a goalkeeper for a big club comes with a lot of pressure from both teammates as well as fans.
This situation worsens when you are under a reputable club like Manchester United.
Today I’ll be highlighting on the lows of the present goalkeeper (Andre Onana) and former goalkeeper (David De Gea).
For starters, David De Gae was signed as Man United goalkeeper in July 2011 after which he was followed by with a lot of criticism on his performance, physique and his constant conceding of goals in his appearances.
Same is the present occurance in that of Onana who was signed July 2023 with more criticism as fans and fellow teammates on his inability to remain in the post and leave defense for the defenders.
On the brighter side,David drastic improvement earned him Premier League title, an FA Cup, two League Cups, three Community Shields and the UEFA Europa League as well as the golden glove this year.As for Onana,we can only hope with affirmation that he’s going to be at the top of his game.
