A land dispute in Akpajo community, Eleme local government area of Rivers State has reportedly led to the death of two individuals.
Rampaging youths clashed over land, resulting in destroyed houses and looted shops of innocent residents.
The violent confrontation involved the use of guns and other weapons, causing pandemonium, with some sustaining various injuries.
A source revealed that land grabbers invaded Akpajo, leading to the conflict, and mentioned that two people have been killed while others sought safety.
The state Police command spokesperson, Grace Iringe-Koko, confirmed the incident, stating that one person died, and the Commissioner of Police deployed tactical teams to restore peace.
Iringe-Koko assured that a full-scale investigation is underway.
