Led by Senate President Godswill Akpabio, the Senate’s leadership was directed to swiftly engage with union representatives for a peaceful resolution of their demands.

This decision followed a motion titled ‘The need for Labour to reconsider their industrial action in the interest of patriotism and for the rule of law and order,’ presented by Senate Leader Opeyemi Bamidele during the plenary session.

This action by the Senate occurred as NLC and TUC leaders engage in discussions with the Federal Government concerning the ongoing strike.
