Nigerian singer and songwriter, Michael Adebayo Olayinka, widely recognized as Ruger, has introduced his own record label, naming it ‘Blown Boy Ent.’

The announcement was conveyed through Ruger’s Instagram story on Friday, January 19, 2024. In a brief video featuring a music freestyle, the artist tagged his new record label, @blownboyent, indicating an upcoming single release under the Blown Boy banner.

The Instagram bio of the ‘Asiwaju’ hitmaker has been updated to incorporate the label’s name. Although Ruger has not officially declared his departure from his previous record label, Jonzing World, the development has sparked enthusiasm among fans. They eagerly anticipate the artist’s forthcoming releases and are excited about the unique musical journey he will embark on with Blown Boy Ent.

Ruger is a fast rising singer that has produced quite a number of hit songs and continues to entertain fans with his amazing beat and voice. He rose to fame with the song “Bounce” and signed a record deal in 2021 with Jonzing World. In 2021, he released his debut EP, Pandemic.

Ruger’s chart-topping single, ‘Asiwaju’, emerges as the leader on the list of Spotify’s 2023 most streamed songs in Sub-Saharan Africa solidifying its hit status across various African regions.
